The home team had won the previous four meetings between Harvard and Johnsburg, and Harvard kept the tradition alive. The Hornets put the hurt on the Skyhawks with a sharp 8-1 win on Thursday. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 12-9 loss the last time these two teams met.

Harvard is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Johnsburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
