Recap: Countryside Christian Minutemen vs. Aucilla Christian Warriors
The Countryside Christian Minutemen's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Aucilla Christian, falling 58-23. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Countryside Christian in their matchups with Aucilla Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Aucilla Christian was led to victory by Ethan Bass and Bryson Mills. Bass scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals, while Mills scored 21 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mills has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caine Demott, who scored two points along with five rebounds.
Countryside Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Aucilla Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
Countryside Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Branford at 7:30 p.m. As for Aucilla Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Redeemer Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Andrew Parker and Bass.
