Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cape Fear Academy). They blew past the Wayne Christian Eagles 6-0 on Friday. The Hurricanes' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Their offense was hitting Wayne Christian from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Priya Belle led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Cape Fear Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0-1. As for Wayne Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Cape Fear Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Richlands on the 17th. As for Wayne Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Arendell Parrott Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
