Fountain Inn has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Powdersville Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fountain Inn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Powdersville is ranked 20th).
Fountain Inn suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Wren 73-43. Fountain Inn has struggled against Wren recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Powdersville stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 72-29 win over Belton-Honea Path at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Powdersville has posted yet this season.
Hayden Assemian continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Jaleel McGee was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals and five assists.
Fountain Inn's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Powdersville, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Fountain Inn was dealt a bruising 76-42 defeat at the hands of Powdersville in their previous meeting two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Assemian, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.
