Basketball Game Preview: Superior Spartans vs. Eau Claire North Huskies

The Superior Spartans will take on the Eau Claire North Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Superior came up short against Menomonie and fell 71-60.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eau Claire North). They took down Chippewa Falls 77-60 on Friday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Superior's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for Eau Claire North, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Superior strolled past Eau Claire North when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 73-58. Does Superior have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eau Claire North turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
