Ballou is 7-2 against Eastern since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights will face off against the Ramblers at 6:00 p.m.

Ballou is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Dunbar, who was ranked 11th at the time (Ballou was ranked 14th). The Knights had to suffer through a 62-6 loss at the hands of the Crimson Tide. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Crimson Tide recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Eastern came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Colts, sneaking past 23-20. That's two games straight that the Ramblers have won by exactly three points.

Ballou better keep an eye on Jeremiah Hubbard. He was instrumental in Eastern's win, throwing for 234 yards and two TDs, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Those 234 passing yards gave Hubbard a new career-high.

Eastern's run defense was locked in: Coolidge could only muster -0.1 yards per carry. The Ramblers' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 2.9.

Ballou's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Eastern, their record now sits at 6-1.

Ballou might still be hurting after the 40-15 defeat they got from Eastern in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Knights, Daquan Ginyard (who rushed for 217 yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
