Recap: Starmount Rams vs. Elkin Buckin' Elks
The Starmount Rams have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 45-35 victory over Elkin on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Starmount has won by exactly ten points.
Starmount's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Swaim led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Swaim has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Carley Money was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Starmount's win bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Elkin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Alleghany the next time they take the court. Starmount will host Alleghany at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Elkin will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
