Soccer Game Preview: Crestwood vs. North Pocono

The Crestwood Comets will head out on the road to take on the North Pocono Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Crestwood has given up an average of 4 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crestwood is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to Lewisburg. While losing is never fun, Crestwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Lewisburg are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for North Pocono's offense. They fell 2-0 to Wallenpaupack Area on Wednesday.

North Pocono's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-1. As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-1.

Crestwood might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from North Pocono in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
