Baseball Recap: Benbrook Comes Up Short

Benbrook lost against Arlington Heights back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Benbrook Bobcats took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets.

Benbrook saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Santiago Cruz, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Benbrook's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Arlington Heights, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Benbrook will square off against Polytechnic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Benbrook is facing Polytechnic at the right time seeing as Polytechnic is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Arlington Heights, they will take on Paschal at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Arlington Heights 3.4, Paschal 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
