Basketball Recap: Morris Has No Trouble Against Catoosa

Morris saw some tournament action on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-44 win over the Catoosa Indians.

Despite the loss, Catoosa still got an impressive performance from Ta'Nei West, who went 8 for 14 en route to 19 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacquelyn Cornwell, who posted ten points and three steals.

Morris is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Catoosa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Morris will venture away from home to square off against Henryetta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Catoosa, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-17 loss against Fort Gibson on the 14th.
