Soccer Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton was the 3-1 winner over Zeeland West when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawkeyes fell just short of the Dux by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Hamilton came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Zeeland West are ranked 238th).

Hamilton's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-3-2. As for Zeeland West, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6-3.

Coming up, Hamilton will head out on the road to take on Unity Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Zeeland West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Lake at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
