Baseball Recap: Kearny Has No Trouble Against Lincoln

Kearny won the last time they faced Lincoln and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Kardinals put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 16-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kardinals.

Brendan More made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. More was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Kearny got a massive performance out of Andy Duenas, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Alex Santos, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Kearny now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lincoln, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Kearny will take on St. Peter's Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Marauders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Kardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lincoln Lions take on McNair Academic Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
