Guilderland and Bethlehem Central are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Flying Dutchmen will host the Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Guilderland has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Guilderland turned things around against Columbia on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Blue Devils.

Giada Vivenzio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Guilderland secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Lydia Santabarbara, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Bethlehem Central gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Saratoga Springs by a score of 5-2.

Bethlehem Central also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Emma Hanlon gave up just two earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Lyla Hanlon was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bethlehem Central is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Guilderland, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
