Basketball Game Preview: Kennard Tigers vs. Apple Springs Eagles

Two dominant guards in Deuce Harrell and Zeth Dugat are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Kennard Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Apple Springs Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Kennard will head into Tuesday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Zavalla on Tuesday. Kennard blew past Zavalla, posting an 80-45 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Apple Springs was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 62-57 to Martinsville.

Apple Springs has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Kennard, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.

Everything came up roses for Kennard against Apple Springs in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 78-35 win. Will Kennard repeat their success, or does Apple Springs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
