Basketball Preview: Fall River Bulldogs vs. Trinity Wolves
Fall River is 8-2 against the Wolves since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Fall River Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Trinity Wolves at 8:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Fall River came up short against the Bears and fell 56-47. Fall River has not had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Cannon Oilar, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Keys, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Trinity's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Weed at home and fell 83-44. While losing is never fun, Trinity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1183rd, while the Cougars are ranked 295th).
Fall River's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Trinity, they dropped their record down to 6-18 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home.
Fall River was able to grind out a solid win over the Wolves when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 45-36. Does Fall River have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
