Soccer Game Preview: Grand Junction vs. Glenwood Springs

The Grand Junction Tigers will challenge the Glenwood Springs Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Grand Junction is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to Palisade.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Glenwood Springs' offense. They lost 3-0 to Mead on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Glenwood Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Mead are ranked 29th).

Glenwood Springs has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Grand Junction, they now have a losing record of 4-5-3.

Grand Junction skirted past Glenwood Springs 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
