Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Center's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Bethlehem Center's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Brownsville on Tuesday. Bethlehem Center won by a run and slipped past Freedom Area 8-7. The victory was some much needed relief for Bethlehem Center as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Luke Amon was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Bethlehem Center's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Santino Revi, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Bethlehem Center's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Freedom Area, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethlehem Center will square off against Carmichaels at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Mighty Mikes have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Freedom Area, they will welcome Beaver Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
