Basketball Recap: South-Doyle Takes a Loss

South-Doyle was the 63-55 winner over Carter when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The South-Doyle Cherokees received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 69-52 to the Carter Green Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Cherokees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Green Hornets are ranked 122nd).

South-Doyle's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Carter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.

South-Doyle will be home for the holidays to greet Jefferson County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carter, they will venture away from home to square off against Seymour at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
