Softball Recap: North Star Takes a Loss

After flying high against Conemaugh Township on Thursday, North Star came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Northern Bedford County Panthers on Friday, falling 13-6.

Morgan Snyder made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

North Star has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Northern Bedford County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

North Star does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northern Bedford County, they will square off against Meyersdale at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
