Softball Recap: Tyrone Triumphs

After losing to Clearfield the last time they met, Tyrone decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Golden Eagles came out on top against the Bison by a score of 7-3 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Kaitlyn Rockwell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Amariah Sprankle was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Lucy Fogleman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Tyrone's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Clearfield, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Tyrone didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-2 defeat against Bellwood-Antis on the 13th. As for Clearfield, they have also already played their next game, an 8-0 loss against Westmont Hilltop on the 10th.
