Baseball Recap: Covington-Douglas Comes Up Short

Covington-Douglas managed to slip by Kremlin-Hillsdale the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Broncs on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Covington-Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Kremlin-Hillsdale, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Coming up, Covington-Douglas will take on Waukomis at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kremlin-Hillsdale, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-4 victory against Tonkawa on the 8th.
