Baseball Recap: Bayfront Charter Sharks vs. Mountain Empire Redhawks

Bayfront Charter had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 2-8 to make it five. They lost 39-3 to the Mountain Empire Redhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the 21-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

As for Mountain Empire, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

For Mountain Empire's part, Jakob Shawcroft was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched.
