Boyertown barely beat Pottsgrove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Samantha Sobeck made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyra Neiswender, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Gilbert, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Boyertown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Boyertown now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Pottsgrove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Boyertown and Pottsgrove will both be playing Norristown the next time they take the field. The Falcons will host the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bears will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
