Football Recap: Valley Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mira Loma

Valley had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 13-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mira Loma Matadors.

Even if they lost, Valley's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Eden Rico and Melanie Cortes, who racked up all five sacks between them.

The win got Mira Loma back to even at 1-1.

Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 21-0 loss against Destiny Christian Academy on the 23rd. As for Mira Loma, they are taking a road trip to square off against Sheldon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
