Basketball Game Preview: Pueblo West Cyclones vs. Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans

The Pueblo West Cyclones will head out to face off against the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pueblo West is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Pueblo West is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Pine Creek on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Pueblo West took a blow against Pine Creek, falling 69-37. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Eagles are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, after only 19 points in their last contest, Fountain-Fort Carson made sure to put some points up on the board against Rampart on Monday. Everything went Fountain-Fort Carson's way against Rampart as Fountain-Fort Carson made off with a 62-36 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Pueblo West's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Everything came up roses for Pueblo West against Fountain-Fort Carson when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 59-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pueblo West since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
