Softball Recap: Cardinal Spellman Cardinals vs. Ursuline Academy Bears
Cardinal Spellman had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Ursuline Academy Bears 9-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cardinal Spellman also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
For Ursuline Academy's part, Anna Kuchta put in work no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over four innings pitched. Kuchta was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Kuchta wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Kirk, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Cardinal Spellman will be playing at home against Monomoy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ursuline Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Norfolk County Agricultural at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
