Basketball Game Preview: Estacado Matadors vs. Liberty Patriots

Estacado is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Liberty is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Estacado Matadors will host the Liberty Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, everything came up roses for Estacado against Snyder as the squad secured a 76-26 win. Given the Matadors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Tigers are ranked 1229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Liberty got the win against Levelland on Tuesday by a conclusive 48-25.

Estacado has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.2 points per game. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 23-4.
