Basketball Game Preview: Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors vs. Summit Christian Academy Falcons

Having just played yesterday, the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Summit Christian Academy Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Hope Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season.

Mount Hope Christian Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Midland Trail just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 47-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from MCKENNA JONES, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was SOPHIA PACK, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Narrows. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Falcons came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 44th in West Virginia, while the Green Waves are ranked 129th in Virginia).

Mount Hope Christian Academy will have to contain Ella Botts as she made an impact in Summit Christian Academy's last game. She went 12 of 21 en route to 34 points and four steals. Botts is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Bailee Martin was another key player, going 7 for 12 on her way to 18 points.

Summit Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-3.

Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's game: Mount Hope Christian Academy has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 66.9% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Summit Christian Academy, though, as they've only made 23.7% of their threes this season. Given Mount Hope Christian Academy's sizable advantage in that area, Summit Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.

Mount Hope Christian Academy was taken down by Summit Christian Academy 65-33 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Mount Hope Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
