Softball Recap: Williamson Takes a Loss

Williamson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Rochester Bombers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Marauders of the 6-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Olivia Bearce made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Brianna Bouwens was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Williamson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for East Rochester, they moved to 2-11 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Williamson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Rochester, they will square off against Marion at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
