Basketball Game Preview: Latexo Tigers vs. Normangee Panthers

Latexo hasn't had much luck against Normangee recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Latexo Tigers take on the Normangee Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Latexo sitting on four straight wins and Normangee on 13.

Latexo will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Big Sandy, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Latexo took down Big Sandy 66-48 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Normangee rang in the new year with a 42-32 victory over Lovelady on Friday. The 42-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Latexo is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.9 points per game. As for Normangee, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Latexo came up short against Normangee when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 56-46. Can Latexo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
