Basketball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Wheaton

Wheaton had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Parkers Prairie Panthers by a score of 67-55. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Panthers are ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wheaton pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Parkers Prairie, they moved to 7-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Wheaton will head out to take on Browerville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Wheaton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Parkers Prairie has already played their next game (against Underwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
