Thompson faced Hillcrest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Patriots 56-10. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Thompson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trent Seaborn, who threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes. Urijah Casey helped Seaborn out on the ground, rushing for 78 yards and a pair of scores.
