Football Game Preview: Troy Trojans vs. Columbus Cardinals + How To Watch

Troy is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Columbus is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Trojans will host the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Troy blew McGregor out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday McGregor got their revenge. The Trojans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 25-22.

Troy might have lost, but man, Jayden Lucky was a machine: he rushed for 149 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 87 receiving yards and one touchdown. Lucky's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 11th straight game with at least 120 rushing yards dating back to last season. Cohen Ketcham also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, while Columbus put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Hempstead. The Cardinals took their game with ease, bagging a 43-0 victory over the Bobcats. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Bobcats are ranked 1090th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbus' win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
