Soccer Game Preview: Etowah vs. North Paulding

The Etowah Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the North Paulding Wolfpack at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Etowah is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against The King's Academy on Tuesday. Neither Etowah nor The King's Academy could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, on TuesdayCherokee kept up with North Paulding until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. North Paulding never let Cherokee get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Considering the Wolfpack have won three games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

With that draw, Etowah's record moves to 2-6-1. As for North Paulding, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Etowah might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from North Paulding when the teams last played back in January of 2022. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Etowah was down 4-1.
