Basketball Recap: Anthony Frank-Woji's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Trinity Christian over Stratford Academy

Trinity Christian managed to keep up with Stratford Academy until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Trinity Christian Crusaders came up short against the Stratford Academy Eagles, falling 59-36. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 416th, while the Eagles are ranked 204th).

Trinity Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Frank-Woji, who posted ten points along with six boards and three blocks. That's the most boards Frank-Woji has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Jag George, who had ten points and three steals.

It was another big night for Frankie Raines Jr, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals for Stratford Academy. That makes it five consecutive games in which Raines Jr has scored at least a third of Stratford Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Landon Gates, who put up nine points and five assists.

Trinity Christian is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Stratford Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Trinity Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-42 defeat against Twiggs County on the 5th. As for Stratford Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-36 loss against Deerfield-Windsor on the 5th.
