Flag Football Game Preview: Presentation Panthers vs. Mercy Bears

The Presentation Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Mercy Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Presentation will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Presentation proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 20) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Priory 14-12. Given Presentation's advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Priory is ranked 342nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Presentation didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Alexa Vincent led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Her receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked her third straight game with at least 100 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Mercy came up short against King's Academy on Wednesday, falling 36-12. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Mercy's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Presentation, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Everything came up roses for Presentation against Mercy in their previous meeting back in September, as the squad secured a 27-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
