Soccer Game Preview: Wyalusing Valley vs. Sullivan County

The Wyalusing Valley Rams will face off against the Sullivan County Griffins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Wednesday, Wyalusing Valley came up short against Troy and fell 4-2. The loss continues a trend for Wyalusing Valley in their meetings with Troy: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Sullivan County didn't have quite enough to beat Towanda on Monday and fell 5-4. Even if Sullivan County couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

They hit Towanda with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lily Mccarty (2), Sophia Livezey, and Quinn Pennella.

Wyalusing Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Sullivan County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Wyalusing Valley beat Sullivan County by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-2. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Griffins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
