Softball Recap: Potlatch's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Potlatch extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 17-1 in the process. They put the hurt on the Clearwater Valley Rams with a sharp 13-3 victory. The Loggers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Potlatch got a great performance from Brieanna Winther as she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Kylie Heitstuman was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Hayley McNeal was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Potlatch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clearwater Valley only posted an OBP of .385.

As for Clearwater Valley, their record now sits at 15-9. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Potlatch: they've now lost five in a row.

On Clearwater Valley's side, Emmalyn Boller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

As of now, neither Potlatch nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
