Soccer Game Preview: Albertville vs. Grissom

Albertville hasn't had much luck against Grissom recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Aggies will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Albertville is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Albertville's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Sparkman 1-0. That's two games straight that Albertville have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grissom). Everything went their way against Daphne on Saturday as they made off with a 5-0 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Grissom with their most commanding win of the season.

Grissom has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those eight matches. As for Albertville, their win bumped their record up to 15-4-1.

Albertville beat Grissom by a goal in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aggies since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
