Baseball Recap: Scappoose Extends Winning Streak to Four

Scappoose barely beat Junction City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won four matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Scappoose's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Junction City, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scappoose will take on St. Helens at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Junction City, they will challenge Douglas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
