Soccer Game Preview: Yuma Catholic vs. ALA - Ironwood

The Yuma Catholic Shamrocks will head out to take on the ALA - Ironwood Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Yuma Catholic's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Parker as Yuma Catholic made off with a 5-0 victory. The Shamrocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, ALA - Ironwood entered their tilt with San Tan Foothills on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Sabercats by a score of 2-0. The Warriors' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Omner Chacon and Lucciano Garcia scored both of ALA - Ironwood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

ALA - Ironwood pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Yuma Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
