Baseball Recap: Willow Spring Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Willow Spring's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Leesville Road Pride on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Storm's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Willow Spring saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Collins, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Willow Spring has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Leesville Road, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Willow Spring will venture away from home to take on Green Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leesville Road, they will welcome Wakefield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Wolverines have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
