On Monday Aydin Kotara struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). The effort also marked the fewest walks (one) Kotara has had since back in May of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his sixth in a row with more than five strikeouts. This season, he has been strong no matter where he plays. On the mound, he has an ERA of 3.50 over 26 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat he has slashed 0.606/0.683/1.000 with 20 runs, plus 18 stolen bases.
