Volleyball Recap: Cedar Hill Comes Up Short on the Road Against Red Oak

Cedar Hill had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Red Oak Hawks on Tuesday. If the Longhorns were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Hawks when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-12, 25-14.

Red Oak was led to victory by Maleah Ellis and Jillian Giddens. Ellis had seven digs and two aces, while Giddens had seven digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Giddens a new career-high.

The win got Red Oak back to even at 1-1.

Cedar Hill has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Seagoville on the 14th. As for Red Oak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Temple on the 14th.
