Soccer Game Preview: Pearsall vs. Hondo

The Pearsall Mavericks will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Hondo Owls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pearsall's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pearsall fell victim to Pleasanton and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-0.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Hondo duked it out with Pleasanton on Tuesday. The Owls lost 7-1 to the Eagles. Hondo were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Hondo's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-3. As for Pearsall, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
