Baseball Recap: Bauxite Comes Up Short

Bauxite saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palestine-Wheatley Patriots. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bauxite saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Deno, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Bauxite now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Palestine-Wheatley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5.

Looking ahead, Bauxite will welcome Mayflower at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palestine-Wheatley, they will venture away from home to take on Carlisle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
