Basketball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

On Wednesday, the Gilmer Bobcats were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-49 to the Calhoun Yellow Jackets.

Gilmer dropped their record down to 7-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Calhoun, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

When Gilmer and Calhoun next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Gilmer will try to stop Heritage's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Calhoun will face off against Adairsville and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
