Volleyball Recap: Meredith Buchanan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Red Lodge over Shepherd

Red Lodge lost against Shepherd back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Red Lodge was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Shepherd work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24.

Red Lodge's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meredith Buchanan, who had four digs, three aces, and one block. Sidney Frank was another key player, getting 17 assists and six digs.

Red Lodge's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Shepherd, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2-1 record this season.

Red Lodge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sweet Grass County on the 4th. As for Shepherd, they will be playing at home against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
