Softball Recap: Gunderson Grizzlies vs. Hill Falcons        
        
		
            
 Gunderson put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Hill Falcons with a sharp  18-2 win. Fans of Gunderson have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout.
  Alanna Martinez Poklong made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits (and only one walk). Martinez Poklong has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Martinez Poklong was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and a  triple.
 In other batting news,  Desirae Regalado was a standout: she scored three  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Jaelyn Vejar, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Gunderson's victory was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Hill, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
 Gunderson will head out on the road to  challenge  Overfelt at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Gunderson knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy  run totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Overfelt likes a good challenge. As for Hill, they will be playing at home against James Lick at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
