Baseball Recap: Granger Lions vs. Holland Hornets

Granger lost against Holland back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Granger Lions lost 14-4 to the Holland Hornets. Granger has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thomas Youngblood was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Tucker, who went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

On Holland's side, Charlie Butler was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Butler was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Holland let Trey Grinnan and Austin Hargrove loose on the outfield. Grinnan scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Hargrove scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Marc Grinnan, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Granger's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Holland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.
